The Pixie Bob comes from North West America, originally found in 1985 at the foot of the Cascade Mountains in the Pacific Northwest.
A large cat with outstanding wild looks which contradict the sweet, intelligent and extremely friendly nature. The Pixie Bob is reputed to be the result of a romantic interlude between a wild Bobcat and a domestic barn cat. They ahve naturally occuring bob tails and often polydactyl (many toed) feet. The Pixie Bob settles happily into family life, is well adjusted and accepts other animals quite easily. A joy to share your life with but be warned once smitten life is never the same without a Pixie Bob. They will follow you around like a domestic dog and will even go for walks on a harness. A Pixie Bob becomes very attached and devoted to it's owner. Not a noisy cat but one that will communicate with chirrups when playing and has been known to make different noises for each family member.
Skokomish are proud to be a FIV/FELV/FHV/FCV and Chlamydia negative cattery. We are not a commercial enterprise and believe in quality not quantity. Our girls are not breeding factories and have only one special litter of kittens per year to ensure that the mother can give them the very best start in life and we can give them plenty of attention and the tender loving care they deserve.
