The Pixie Bob cat comes from North West America, originally found in 1985 at the foot of the Cascade Mountains in the Pacific Northwest. A large cat with outstanding wild looks which contradict it's sweet, intelligent and extremely friendly nature. The Pixie Bob is reputed to be the result of a romantic interlude between a wild Bobcat and a domestic barn cat. They have naturally occuring bob tails and often polydactyl (many toed) feet. The pixie bob settles happily into family life, is well adjusted and accepts other animals quite easily. A joy to share your life with.They will follow you around like a domestic dog and will even go for walks with you on a harness. A Pixie Bob becomes very attached and devoted to it's owner. Not a noisy cat but one that will communicate with chirrips when playing and has been known to have different noises for family members. Skokomish are proud to be a FIV/FELV/FHV/FCV and Chlamydia negative cattery.We are not a commercial cattery and believe in quality not quantity. Skokomish girls will only have one litter of kittens a year to ensure mother can give them the perfect start in life and we can give them the tender loving care they deserve
